You may think having groceries delivered to your home would add to your carbon footprint but…home delivery can sharply reduce the number of cars cramming into supermarket car parks! And it gives you more time to enjoy the city centre this Christmas!

City Transport News

Three of Hull’s biggest car parks - Osborne Street, Pryme Street and George Street – will be free to drivers on weekends (between 10am and 4pm) until Christmas. The decision is in response to the impacts of the pandemic on city centre businesses.

"Did you know?"

The Port of Hull alone handles approximately 10 million tonnes of cargo each and every year! That adds up to around £12bn in trade to the UK.
With the support of Lagoon Hull, port traffic will be able to bypass Hull city centre while improving travel times between the M62 and the docks.

The spirit of Hull’s Year as City of Culture still lives on after hundreds of events across 2017 touched every part of the city, with 3.5m attendees recorded in total.
 
On January 1, a giant firework display – which organisers claimed was bigger than London’s New Year’s Eve show 24 hours earlier – lit up the Fruit Market and Marina areas of the city to kick off the first week of action which saw over 300,000 descend on the city centre….
